Tasting notes, serving temperature detailed info of the red wine Barbera Superiore – Colli Tortonesi 2019 by Cascina la Zerba di Volpedo
Barbera Superiore – Colli Tortonesi DOC 2019 – Cascina la Zerba di Volpedo
It has a bright ruby red color, the nose opens up intense, broad and fragrant, alternating intense hints of ripe cherries and blackberries embellished with sweet spices, cocoa and vanilla notes. On the palate it is soft and caressing, with a medium-thick tannic texture and a great acidic backbone that gives great freshness and drinkability. Harmonious balanced finish, with references of aromatic herbs, good persistence.
Wine obtained from the Barbera vineyards of the La Zerba di Volpedo farmhouse, about 60 years old. The grapes are carefully selected to obtain the highest quality. A vinification in purity follows an aging of at least 13 months. From the 2018 vintage, certified organic and vegan wine (ICEA certification).
