Bettili Cristiana’s History and Philosophy
We are located in Veneto, in the province of Verona exactly in the area that goes from Verona Nord to Lake Garda . Here the area, where the Bettili Cristiana companies are based , has a hilly and wine geographical variety that corresponds to the production of many fine wines known all over the world. The Bettili Cristiana company is a signature and a relevant reality of this economy, with its three organically owned wine estates, two of which in the Garda hinterland in the Bardolino and Valpolicella area and one in Friuli.The first Tenuta Sorsei is located in the Cavaion area, the mother house purchased by Siro father of Cristina in 1965, the second is Tenuta Vignega in Pescantina acquired in 1977 and in which the grapes of all the Veronese estates of Cristiana Collection are vinified. And at the end of the last acquisition in 2013 is Tenuta Plozner in Friuli. Seals that also represent the range of labels proposed and on which all wine production is based. Vineyards that enjoy truly perfect geo-climatic characteristics and where exposure and altitude, assisted by a strong tradition in processing and continuous oenological research, create the ideal conditions for a product of great excellence.
In fact, it goes without saying that the production ranges from the vinification of indigenous wines such as Bardolino Chiaretto DOC, Bardolino Classico DOC, Amarone della Valponicella DOC, to name a few, up to the production of Friulian wines produced on the Tenuta Plozner estate such as Pinot Grigio DOC, Merlot Friuli Serious DOC. The production is really vast to be able to list it all, but an undoubted fil-rouge that distinguishes all the labels is the great elegance, identity and character.
But common denominators are present in both management and processing; the first is that to manage the different estates and this incredible and demanding reality is Cristiana Bettili, heir of a family that has been working the land and making wine for over a century. The second denominator is the biological turning point given to production in 1999, when Cristina joined the company and decided to convert the entire production to the organic cultivation method. The third is the VIVA environmental certification with the Ministry of Agriculture since 2019.

The fundamental value of this company is what we cannot talk about quality of life without also thinking about the environment and the entrepreneurial choices that affect the environment. And it is from this philosophy that the organic wines of the Bettili Cristiana farm were born , which meet the European certification standards on grapes and winemaking and the Italian disciplinary VIVA.
As we said the line offered is really wide and takes three different production typicities, but which reflect the great Italian tradition. Thus passing from the austere and voluminous Amarone della Valpolicella, to the pleasant and fresh Bardolino Chiaretto, then to the fragrant Prosecco Brut, where the wines produced in Friuli with the Veronese mastery, are a truly unique combination for quality.
