(SERRA DE’ CONTI – ANCONA) The CasalFarneto winery is located in Serra de’Conti in the Marche region, it is a wine company famous for the production of Verdicchio Classico wines, at the Superiore dei Castelli di Jesi, the selection “Donna di Bacco, the Crisio Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva Classico DOCG and the Cimaio Marche Bianco IGT 2015 Bianco.

Casalfarneto’s History and Philosophy

The CasalFarneto winery is located in Serra de’Conti in the Marche region, a mother region of excellent wines. We are in the province of Ancona, in the Jesi area especially suited to the production of Verdicchio, a wine famous all over the world. Born in 1995, Casalfarneto belongs today to the Paolo Togni family at the helm of the winery together with the well-known and expert agronomist Danilo Solustri and a highly qualified staff. In addition, since 2012 the oenological work has been followed by the famous oenologist Franco Bernabei. 60 hectares belong to the winery, located in the wonderful Marche countryside and surrounded by medieval villages, rolling hills and, not far from the Adriatic Sea, of which 35 are currently planted with vineyards towards the north side of the Esino Valley.

The vineyards are composed of a medium mixture, the presence of limestone and an excellent exposure. Thanks to the right temperature ranges and the beneficial Adriatic breezes, the vineyards are suitable for a diversified production for the expression of the wines, which punctually enhance the terrior, in a circle of reciprocity where man’s work is the glue. Casalfarneto is a technological farm with low environmental impact and surrounded by greenery, where the staff makes use of the help of modern and innovative technologies for both winemaking and aging in the cellar, respecting the biodiversity of the soils and the ecosystem. The production ranges from Verdicchio Classico, to the Superiore dei Castelli di Jesi, up to excellent red and organic wines.

The wines of Casalfarneto

A continuous production growth, which currently sees the production also enriched with a Classic method, which however prefers Chardonnay, a passito and two Vermouths, one white and one red always based on Verdicchio. The line for whites and reds is well organized and is summarized in the “Donna di Bacco” selection, dedicated to catering and wine tasting. Among the labels, we point out the Crisio Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva Classico Docg 2015 and the Cimaio Marche Bianco Igt 2015 Bianco. Finally, the action also deals with the production of an excellent extra virgin olive oil.
