Tenute Donna Olga

(MONTALCINO – SIENA) Tenute Donna Olga, owned by Olga Peluso Centolani, is a company that produces elegant Brunello di Montalcino wines.

The history of Tenute Donna Olga wines

The Tenute Donna Olga farm is located in Montalcino, Tuscany. Here the prestigious Brunello di Montalcino is produced, a Tuscan wine made from 100% Sangiovese, which benefits from the Mediterranean climate and the clayey-limestone soil of the region.

The Tenute Donna Olga company was born in 2000, from the impulse of the entrepreneur of Neapolitan origins Olga Peluso Centolani. The Centolani family is not new to Montalcino and boasts a long winemaking tradition in the Chinese landscape.

In fact, Olga’s father, the Neapolitan lawyer Giovanni Peluso, began producing Brunello di Montalcino wines since 1975. To date, the Centolani company founded by his father includes two different realities Tenuta Friggiali and Pietranera, to which Tenute is added Donna Olga. The latter is entirely curated by Olga Peluso Centolani, who gives the wines her personal feminine touch, which is expressed in interpretations of great harmony and elegance.

The wines of Tenute Donna Olga have an average annual production of about 20,000 bottles per year.

The Terroir of the wines of Tenute Donna Olga

Tenute Donna Olga includes 11 hectares, of which 4 are used for the production of Sangiovese Grosso for the production of Brunello di Montalcino.

The vineyards from which the wines of Tenute Donna Olga are born are located on the South West side of Montalcino at an altitude of 400 to 250 meters above sea level, while the soil is rich in marl and skeleton and the climate is warm but windy.

All extremely favorable elements for an excellent ripening of the grapes that make the wines of Tenute Donna Olga rich, intense and with great olfactory expressiveness, characterized by savory mineral tones and sensational freshness.

Wines by Tenute Donna Olga

Among the wines of Tenute Donna Olga, Brunello di Montalcino is certainly the most representative wine.

Tenute Donna Olga’s Brunello di Montalcino undergoes malolactic fermentation in 30-hectolitre Allier oak barrels and then refines in Slavonian oak barrels for 36 months and completes the refinement in the bottle.

It is one of the most compelling interpretations of Brunello. An imaginative and elegant wine, rich in fruit, balsamic suggestions and sensational taste-olfactory balance. To be considered among the best Brunello di Montalcino for elegance.

With a more immediate character and reduced aging, we also find the Rosso di Montalcino. It too represents a very convincing interpretation of Sangiovese, also ideal for daily consumption and as an aperitif.

Amazing wines, those of Donna Olga, which make the most of the enological potential of Sangiovese, embellished by a careful and meticulous use of oak barrels. Ideal wines for special occasions.
