The Philosophy of the wines of Máté Winery

The project is followed by Fabrizio Moltard, agronomist of the neighbor, Angelo Gaja. The high density of 6200 plants / ha is chosen, which makes Máté the first company in Montalcino to take this path. Several vines are planted following the characteristics of the company’s varied terroir. Sangiovese on both galestro and on fossil debris and tuff, Merlot on clay soil, Cabernet Sauvignon on clay soil, finally Syrah is found on terraces rich in minerals.
