Primitivo ‘Barone Pazzo’ Salento IGP 2016 – Vetrère
Vetrère’s Primitivo ‘Barone Pazzo’ Salento IGP 2016 wine reveals itself in the intense and impenetrable ruby red glass.
On the nose there are notes of violet, ripe cherry and mulberry enriched with white chocolate, dark cocoa and sweet woody notes well integrated. The drink envelops the palate in a dense sip with perfectly dashed compact tannins. Excellent salty trail on the finish that leaves the mouth fresh and satisfied. The wine ages in new barriques for 12 months and then ends its refinement process in the bottle.
An interpretation of Primitivo that tells the nature of its fruit with disarming sincerity. Example of how the high alcohol content can enter into synergy with minerality, giving an original and exciting sip. Deservedly among the best Apulian red wines.
