(POCENIA – UDINE) Reguta produces wines in the Friuli DOC denomination. The grapes grown are those typical of the area: Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Friulano, Pignolo, Ribolla Gialla and Verduzzo but also Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. The most representative wine is Altroasso (blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon)
The history and the Terroir of Reguta wines
We are located in the production area of the excellent Friuli DOC wines, exactly in the low Friuli plain, an area characterized by an exceptional fertility of the soils and the influence of sea breezes due to its proximity to the Adriatic Sea, especially the Marano Lagunare lagoon.
A feature that distinguishes the population here is the great ability to protect the environment, with great respect and civic tradition and above all participation. A characteristic so inserted in the social DNA, which are also the basis for all those who trade with the products of the earth. And it is an identity and a philosophy that also distinguishes the work of the Reguta winery, located in Pocenia in the province of Udine, that is, the close relationship between man and nature.
The Philosophy of Reguta’s wines
The Reguta winery, founded in the late 1920s by Ettore Anselmi, is managed today with the same tenacity and tradition by Giuseppe and Luigi Anselmi and their sons, who respectively represent the third and fourth generation, working this land, both on the farm and in the vineyards, with pride and foresight.
In the cellar the processing reflects the tradition, but supported by high and competitive technological contributions.
Reguta Wines
On the 270 hectares of company vineyards, which rest on predominantly clayey soils rich in mineral salts, where the microclimate is optimal and characterized precisely by sea breezes, good exposure and a high annual average temperature, the grapes grown are both native: Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Friulano, Pignolo, Ribolla Gialla or Verduzzo, and the international ones: Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon.
Cantina Reguta is also one of the major producers and bottlers of Prosecco DOC Spumante wine in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Its entire range of production is both nationally and internationally, with strong expansion on the American and Russian markets.
In fact, the line offered is divided into two selections, the Reguta line for the Whites and Reds and the Spumante line.
Among the production wines worthy of note we indicate the red wine Altroasso, a Bordeaux blend of rare finesse, with an eloquent nose and silky tannins, or the ‘Pignolo’, from the vine of the same name, an affable wine, extremely long-limbed and highly drinkable. spreads pleasant aromas of small berries and boasts a sinuous and delicate tannic texture.
But to consider, among the whites, the citrusy and fresh ‘Reguta Ribolla Gialla’, and the captivating fragrant and exotic Prediale, obtained by blending Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Ribolla Gialla.
