Tenuta Sette Ponti’s History and Philosophy

A company with a fairly long history, having been born in the 1950s when the Moretti Cuseri family bought it from the Savoy-Aosta . Marked by a singular name deriving from the number of bridges connecting the opposite banks of the Arno between Arezzo and Florence, this company has a varied production, like any traditional farm, to which is added a first-rate winemaking reality. Of course, given the territory in which it is located, the house put the traditional local grape variety, Sangiovese , at the top of its choices , but it opened up to international varieties to screen combinations and experiment with new expressions in that specific terroir.

The wines of Tenuta Sette Ponti

Of course, winemaking skills and competences were needed, as well as particular intuitions, about the best developments and the paths to follow in this research, and here was the choice to rely on oenologists, with proven sensitivity and attention in the cultivation of Sangiovese, a vine, as is known , which contains an incredibly wide range of clones. All this operating philosophy has then found a concrete result in excellent quality wines, among which stands out the Crognolo Toscana Rosso , obtained from Sangiovese , an elegant red wine, refined on the nose, with broad aromas reminiscent of ripe cherry and berries , and powerful and complex on the palate with a perfect tannic texture.

L’Oreno Toscana Rosso , from Merlot , Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot , of a dark ruby color with violet hues, notes of small ripe fruits, a powerful wine, which expresses fullness and a set of flavors that combine to give the sensation of full mouth . Dark ruby in color with strong shades of violet color, it expresses incredible olfactory sensations on the nose.
