Tenute Rossini

Tenute Rossini

(LAERRU – SASSARI) A family, the Rossini family, committed to the care of the territory and the vineyards, using only the Sardinian wine tradition. The cultivated grapes fully express their territory, the Angiona. Isola dei Nuraghi, Vermentino di Sardegna, Syrah, Cannonau the white wines and red wines they produce.

Rossini’s History and Philosophy

The history of the Rossini farm begins in 2004 when its founder Luigi plants a small piece of land and begins to cultivate a vineyard following his motto ” keret fattu cun amore “, “even the hardest work must be done with love”. In 2012 Luigi fulfilled his dream with the opening of the cellar, which is still managed at a family level today. “Keret fattu cun amore” is the imperative that his son Massimo , together with his brother Fausto , his sister Rossella, his mother Teodora, have decided to transform into a reason for living, in favor of the environmental sustainability projectwith which the Company intends to propose itself. The design, the research, the expression of manual skills in production represent the ways through which the territory of Anglona becomes the protagonist of Tenute Rossini.

The Rossini family has always managed this business directly with courageous choices, while maintaining respect for traditions and the territory. Each vine tells a story, each wine speaks of fatigue and energy, sun and soil nourishment according to the logic of environmental sustainability pursued with dedication and commitment.

In the vineyard, replanted in 2006, with the rotation (sowing of the field bean in alternate rows) it favors the supply of nitrogen to the soil, and in the resting period of the vine through pruning, the quantitative potential of the new production is chosen in favor of maximum quality. The grape harvest time is determined by the balance given by the correct phenolic ripeness of the berries, by the evolution of sugar and by the degree of acidity. This care allows to avoid subsequent corrections in the cellar.
