Biasiotto’s History and Philosophy

The Biasiotto farm is located in Vas, in the municipality of Quero Vas, in the province of Belluno, on the southern slope of the valley between the Belluno pre-Alps and the Venetian plain in the Feltrina mountain area. The modern design winery is located to the left of the Piave river. Here the story tells of a natural place of communication and passage, thanks to the course of the Piave river which has been and served as a link for these lands since Roman times.The name Biasiotto, for four generations now, is linked to the noble tradition of production and sale of high quality wines and sparkling wines, a family-run company that has been producing wines since the early 1900s.

The company has an estate in Codroipo, in the province of Udine, which covers 25 hectares and vinifies Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Glera, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes.The philosophy follows two basic concepts: the high value for money and the good customer service, obtained with respect and care both in the vineyard and in the cellar and follows the natural trend of the ripening and processing times of the grapes, thanks also to the excellent quality of the soil and the climate.

The bassofeltrina company has achieved important recognition over the years, including that of Best Prosecco of Italy for Luca Maroni for five consecutive years including 2020, two gold medals from Gilbert & Gaillard, a gold medal from Bacchus and a by Berliner Wein Trophy, 16 points by Jancis Robinson and 90 points by Decanter.

The wines of Biasiotto

All these awards repay the efforts and investments made to obtain ever higher quality, also guaranteed by the fact that all production derives from the owned vineyards: all phases of the production process are directly followed, from the care of the plants, to winemaking, sparkling wine until bottling and sale, without losing the imprint of the wine tradition signed by Biasiotto. In fact, as already mentioned, investments, technological innovations and continuous research have been carried out, together with the wealth of knowledge handed down by more than one century of experience, which led the company today to have its own precise and recognized national and international identity.

The line offered is made up of 12 types of quality wines (white and red, still and sparkling wines) and perfectly embodies the production of wines that have typical characteristics of the production area and which are the result of scrupulous and careful processing that every year acquires more and more thickness and value.

Of particular interest are the award-winning Prosecco DOC Andrea Biasiotto and Prosecco DOC Extra Dry or the Cabernet Spumante Demi-Sec, all eloquent and undiscovered wines, very enjoyable, long-lasting and fresh with a very fine perlage.
